A HIGH-SPEED MULTI-CHANNEL PULSE HEIGHT ANALYZER USING THE PULSE DELAYED SYSTEM (in Japanese)

Journal Article · · Proc. Japan Conf. Radioisotopes
OSTI ID:4683572

Scintillation detectors are used ior detecting gamma rays. For the pulse height analysis of the high-frequency pulses from these detectors, and for the measurement of the radiation from radioisotopes of short decay time, it is required that the measurement time be short, with low counting loss. The system described with pulse holding circuits features a considerably low counting loss, and at the same time it gives less measurement time of energy analysis than that of a conventional analyzer with the highest-speed A-D converter. This analyzer consists of a linear amplifier, pulse stretchers, linear gates, an A-D converter, a discriminator, and a control circuit. (JAIF)
