Several designs for joints between members having coaxial radially spaced cylindrical surfaces are patented. One design consists of a pair of frusto-conical rings arranged concentrically, the larger diameter end of one being adjacent to the smaller diameter end of the other. The rings are compressed axially so that the outer peripheries of the rings make sealing contact with adjacent surfaces. The other designs also incorporate seals of frusto-conical surfaces. The designs are applicable to joints between fuel channel and the header tank of a reactor coolant system. (M.P.G.)
