This paper discusses how pulse radiolysis was used on various substituted indolyl radicals in aqueous solutions to study their spectra, acid-base, and redox properties. Their dissociation constants and reduction potentials are correlated with their Brown substituent constants and {rho} values obtained. 31 refs., 5 figs., 5 tabs.
