MEASUREMENT OF THE SLOW COMPONENT OF LUMINOUS EMISSION IN ORGANIC SCINTILLATORS APPLICATION TO THE DISCRIMINATION OF PARTICLES ACCORDING TO THEIR IONIZING POWER (in French)

Journal Article · · Nucl. Instr. Methods
OSTI ID:4679856
A method to study the rate of decay of the slow component of luminescence in organic scintillators is discussed. The results for stilbene, anthracene, diphenylacetylene (tolan), terphenyl, plastic scintillator NE 102, and one liquid scintillator are presented. The same principle is applied for the design of a circuit useful for discrimination between particles of differing specific ionization. (auth)
