Pontecorvo reactions in antiproton annihilation at rest in deuterium to {pi}{sup 0}n, {pi}{sup 0}{Delta}{sup 0}, {eta}n, and {eta}{Delta}{sup 0}

Using modularized NaI(Tl) detectors, we carried out a high statistics measurement of inclusive {gamma}-ray, {pi}{sup 0}, and {eta} spectra, and determined the branching ratios or upper limits of Pontecorvo reactions {bar p}d{r_arrow}{pi}{sup 0}n, {pi}{sup 0}{Delta}{sup 0}, {eta}n, and {eta}{Delta}{sup 0} from the corresponding monochromatic peaks in them. The obtained branching ratios are B({bar p}d{r_arrow}{pi}{sup 0}n)=(1.03{plus_minus}0.41){times}10{sup {minus}5}, B({bar p}d{r_arrow}{pi}{sup 0}{Delta}{sup 0})=(4.67{plus_minus}1.66){times}10{sup {minus}5}, B({bar p}d{r_arrow}{eta}n){lt}8.94{times}10{sup {minus}6} (95{percent} C.L.), and B({bar p}d{r_arrow}{eta}{Delta}{sup 0}){lt}6.49{times}10{sup {minus}5} (95{percent} C.L.). {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
