HIGH TEMPERATURE VAPORIZATION STUDIES WITH THE BENDIX TIME-OF-FLIGHT MASS SPECTROMETER
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4676644
It was decided that the Bendix time-of-flight mass spectrometer could be used to monitor products of an effusion cell and thus provide the necessary data to study hightemperature reactions. The electron bombardment furnace is described. Studies of the high-temperature decomposition of uranium nitride and the reduction of uranium tetrafluoride with magnesium vapor are discussed. (M.C.G.)
