Eighteen mono-acid esters were prepared through cleavage of 6 cyclic anhydrides of dibasic acids (maleic, phthalic, succinic, 5-norbornene-2,3- dicarboxylic, 1-2cyclohexane dicarboxylic, and tetrahydrophthalic) using three long-chained alcohols (dodecyl, tridecyl, and heptyldecyl).
