ELASTIC AND INELASTIC SCATTERING OF DEUTERONS ON SILICON AND SULFUR AT 11.8, 10.9, AND 10.0 Mev (in German)

Using the deflected beam of the cyclotron the energy dependence of the deuteron scattering from Si and S at tions of the elastically and inelastically scattered deuterons (Si, Q = -1.78 Mev; S, Q =.--2.24 Mev) were measured in 5 deg steps between THETA /sub LAB/ = 20 and 165 deg . The results were discussed in terms of Blair's diffraction scattering model. This model seems not to be directly applicable because different interaction radii for elastic and inelastic angular distributions were found. (auth)
