ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE VOLUMETRIC DETERMINATION OF FLUORIDE IN PLANT EFFLUENTS

Fluoride is steam distilled as hydrofluosilicic acid in the presence of H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/. The fluoride is then determined in the distillate by titration with Th nitrate using alizarin red S or chrome azurol as indicator. At the 250 mu g/ml fluoride level the standard deviation is 3 mu g. (P.C.H.)
