ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF FLUORIDE IN PURE URANYL NITRATE LIQUORS

The liquor is ateam-distilled in the presence of sulfurlc acid at I50 deg C. The distillate is titrated with thorium nitrate solution using chrome azurol S as an indicator. The method is applicable for fluoride concentrations of 0.5 to 10 mu g/ml. At I mu g/ml the precision (3 x slgma) is plus or minus 30% relative. (auth)
