NUCLEAR-CHEMICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF ABSOLUTE RADIOACTIVITY MEASUREMENTS. PART 1. DETERMINATION OF THE DECOMPOSITION HALF-TIME OF THE Pb-210(RaD) NUCLIDE

Journal Article · · Magy. Tud. Akad., Kem. Tud. Oszt. Kozlemen.
OSTI ID:4670022
BS>A method was developed for the determination of the decomposition constant of the RaD (Pb/sup 210/) nuclide by means of absolute radiation particle counting. It was found that the decomposition half life is 22.85 yr. By knowing this figure, it is possible to prepare accurate RaD + E measurement standards without the need of using particle counters. (OTS)
