REGGE POLES. II

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4667969
Measurements of the elastic differential cross sections for p-p and pi / sup -/p at 7 to 20 Bev/c showed that the p-p results (shrinkage) would agree with the vacuum pole or three pole model, while the pi /sup -/-p date were inconsistent with the vacuum pole or three pole model. It was suggested that analysis of the two processes on the level of optics, not in terms of Regge poles, would make the cross sections more compatible. An experiment testing the Rosenbluth formula for elastic e-p scattering with a Regge trajectory instead of a photon is discussed. (D.C.W.)
