EXPERIMENTS IN PROGRESS AT CEA

Electromagnetic pair production experiments aimed at testing the theory of quantum electrodynamics and at searching for new particles are described. Muon pair photoproduction and electron pair production at wide angles are being investigated. Quantities sought and some preliminary results are discussed. Other experiments include electron scattering and meson photoproduction. Development of a 500-liter bubble chamber is reported. (D.C.W.)
