A STUDY OF Cd$sup 115$m,g FORMED IN THE FISSION OF NATURAL URANIUM BY PROTONS OF ENERGIES 8 TO 60 Mev

Excitation functions were measured for the formation of Cd/sup 115m/ Cd/ sup 115g/ and Ag/sup 115g/ produced in the fission of natural U induced by protons of energies 8 to 60 Mev. The isomer yield ratio for Cd/sup 115m,g/ was found to increase with increasing proton bombarding energy over the range 20 to 60 Mev in contrast to published results for the deuteron fission of U, for which a minimum was found.
