THEORY OF STABILITY OF AN INHOMOGENEOUS RAREFIED PLASMA IN A STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD (in Russian)

The stability of an inhomogeneous plasma is considered. A method for constructing finite solutions corresponding to localized perturbations is presented. It is ahown that there is a correspondence of this method to the results of application of the rough quasiclassical theory to the same problem. The shearing effect of magnetic lines of force is taken into account; this effect leads to stabilization of a universal'' instability of an inhomogeneous rarefied plasma when particle collisions can be neglected.
