SUPERCONDUCTIVE PROPERTIES OF VACUUM DEPOSITED INDIUM FILMS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4661828
The transition of superconducting films to the normal state as the current in them reaches a critical value was studied. After a brief description of sample preparation and measurement techniques, information on the dependence of the critical current and transition time on temperature, type of film substrate (quartz or glass), and film width and thickness is presented. Transition time dependence on the amplitude of the current pulse is also shown. (D.C.W.)
