METHOD FOR OBTAINING COMPARABLE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE OSCILLOSCOPE DISPLAY WHEN ANALYZED BY THE GRAY-WEDGE TECHNIQUE

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4661287
When a pulse spectrum is analyzed by the gray-wedge technique, photographs of the oscilloscope display can not easily be compared, as the blackening depends on the exposure time and the pulse rate. These difficulties can be overcome if the amount of events taken per photograph is constant for each of the photographs. Therefore, a counter is provided for counting the incoming pulses. After a predetermined amount of pulses has arrived, the input of the spectroscope is switched off automatically by a countercontrolled relay circuit. (Gmelin Inst.)
