The TGF{beta} type II receptor, Tgfbr2, maps to distal mouse chromosome 9
- Glasgow Univ. (United Kingdom)
This report describes the localization of the transforming growth factor {beta} (TGF{beta}) type II receptor, Tgfbr2, to distal mouse chromosome 9 using fluorescence in situ hybridization and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction. The human homologue for this gene, TGFBR2, has been mapped to a region of synteny on human chromosome 3p22. This gene is implicated in embryogenesis, wound healing and immune regulation. 14 refs., 1 fig.
