This report describes the localization of the mouse protein phosphatase 2C{beta} (Ppm1b) gene to the distal part of mouse chromosome 17 using restriction fragment length polymorphisms and South blot hybridization. The article reports that the human homologue of Ppm1b will probably map to human chromosome 2p23-p21. 13 refs., 1 fig.
