PARAMAGNETIC RESONANCE OF DIVALENT LANTHANUM IN IRRADIATED CaF$sub 2$

Exposure of crystals of CaF/sub 2/ containing La/sup 3+/ ions to ionizing radiations at room tenrperature produces La/sup 2+/ ions on cubic lattice sites. The La/sup 2+/ ions, which are stable at room temperature for a period of days, are investigated by electron paramagnetic resonance methods. (auth)
