ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY OF IRRADIATED LiF

Journal Article · · J. Phys. Soc. Japan
OSTI ID:4659162
By neutron irradiation of simples of widely different impurity content, discrimination was made between effects on the impurity complexes and on the LiF matrix proper itself. Furthermore, the control of temperature of irradiation gave some insight on the defect generation itself. It was concluded that really pure samples, by contrast with impurity compensated samples, are needed before a better and quantitative description of the phenomenon can be obtained. (P.C.H.)
