GRAPHITE IRRADIATION EXPERIMENTS IN H.F.R. PETTEN. PART II. RESULTS (CAPSULES 1 TO 8 INCLUSIVE). Project DRAGON.

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4655516
Results obtained from a series of 8 capsules designed for repeated irradiation of graphite samples in H.F.R. Petten are described. Samples were irradiated at 600, 900, and 1200 deg C and neutron doses of up to 4 x 10{sup 21}n cm{sup -2} Ni dose Dido have been obtained on a wide range of graphites which fall into two main categories: (a) special fine grain graphites for the Dragon Reactor at Winfrith; and (b) graphites of interest for power reactor versions of helium cooled high temperature reactors. The design and operation of the capsule and a description of sample measurement techniques are given in Part I of this report. Graphite creep experiments are described and reported in a separate report, D.P. Report 562. (auth)
