SODIUM RESISTIVITY METER LOOP. Summary Report, July 1963

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4654501
An experiment was conducted in which sodium hydride was introduced into the flowing Na loop by tea bag,'' and the resistivity meter was calibrated against the rising level of contamination. The resistivity meter responded satisfactorily. A variable-orifice plugging meter was also tested and found to operate satisfactorily, while a nickel diffusion-tube hydrogen detector did not respond to loop contamination. Sodium samples were taken from the loop for analysis. The difficulties (additional contamination, etc.) encountered in clean- up of the loop are described. (D.L.C.)
