The design, operation, performance, and theory of an automatically balancing and recording a-c bridge are reported. The lifetimes of certain excited states of Sb/sup 121/ were studied by the fast-slow gamma coincidence technique. The results confirm Gupta's results on the coincidences and agree with his Te/sup 121/ decay scheme. The 576 and 506-kev gamma rays were found to have half lives <1.5 x 10/sup -9/ sec, while the 70-kev gamma ray has a half life of (8 plus or minus 1.5) x 10/sup -9/ sec. Spins and parities were assigned to the Sb/sup 121/ states, assuming the validity of the shell model. An analysis of data on the K-conversion coefficients of pure E2 transitions of the type O/sup +/ - 2/sup +/ in even-even nuclei indicated that the dependence of the coefficients on the nuclear deformation may be real. An analysis of 1-forbidden M1 transitions was also carried out. The limits of applicability of the sum- coincidence technique for determining the total conversion coefficients of gamma rays were investigated. The coefficient (1.9) computed for the 79-kev transition in coincidence with the 358-kev gamma ray in Ba/sup 133/ decay agrees well with the value for a predominantly M1 transition. The level scheme of Mg/sup 26/ was obtained by a study of the gamma spectrum from Al/sup 28/ decay. No 0.707-Mev gamma was observed, and the results indicate a spin of 2 or 3 for the 2.95 Mev level.
