The energy dependence of the ratios for the production of an Sc/sup 44/ isomer pair in the reactions Al/sup 27/(Ne/sup 20/,2pn) Al/sup 27/ (Ne/sup 22/, alpha n+ 2p3n), and S/sup 32/(O/sup 16/,3pn) was measu red. The excitation functions of the reactions leading to the production of Sc/sup 44m/ and Sc/sup 43/ , as well as Sc/sup 43/ and Sc/sup 46/ h ave the shape characteristic of the reactions occurring via the compound nucleus. From the energy dependence of the isomer ratio, it is concluded that the scandium isotopes are produced in reactions that have collision parameters h. (auth)
