THE SPINS OF Pr$sup 144$ FROM $beta$$-$$gamma$ CORRELATION MEASUREMENTS

The BETA - gamma directional correlation measurements and circularly polarized correlation measurements using Compton forward scattering were used to determine the spins of the Pr 4 energy levels. The results agree with the accepted assignment of O/sup -/ for the Pr/sup 144/ ground state. The decay scheme of Ce /sup 144/ -- Pr/sup 144/ with the spin assignments of the various energy levels is illustrated. (C.E.S.)
