POLAROGRAPHIC DETERMINATION OF URANIUM (VI) IN NITRIC ACID SOLUTIONS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4645726
The possibility of a polarographic determination of low concentrations of hexavalent uranium in nitric acid medium was investigated. Details are given on a quantitative procedure which is applicable to amounts of uranium(VI) ranging from 1 x 10/sup -3/ to 1 x 10/sup -5/ moles/l in the presence of 0.5 to 3.0 molar nitric acid. This method is also applicable in the presence of uranium(IV) nitrate and formic acid. (auth)
