NUCLEAR ENERGY AND THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY (in Spanish)

Journal Article · · Energia Nucl. (Madrid)
OSTI ID:4644378
In the production of electrical energy from nuclear energy, three types of reactors are presently used: graphitemoderated, gas-cooled reactors with natural uranium; pressurized-water reactors; and boiling-water reactors. The present and future prospects for the development of these reactor types to economic competition with conventional sources of electrical energy are discussed. These generalizations are then considered with respect to their economic development in Spain. (J.S.R.)
