THERMAL EVAPORATION AND IMPURITIES OF COMMERCIAL BERYLLIUM BETWEEN 650 AND 1000 C (in French)

Journal Article · · Journal of Nuclear Materials (Netherlands)

Thermal evaporation of single crystals of beryllium of commercial purity between 650 and 1000 deg C generates plane facets the indices of which were determined, and leaves in relief structures of threadlike form, containing a high percentage of transition elements, the orientation of which is related to that of the crystalline matrix. These structures were examined by electron microscope and by electron mu-croprobe analysis. (auth)
