INVESTIGATIONS OF MAGNETIC FIELDS IN HYDROMAGNETIC SHOCK TUBES (in Russian)

Magnetohydrodynamic shock tubes with conical chambers were investigated, and pictures were taken of shock wave excitations near annular electrode with and without external magnetic fields. Magnetic field capture during radial plasma compression into a conical chamber and axial transfer from the chamber into the tube was studied using tube windings and magnetic probes. (R.V.J.)
