MEAN AMPLITUDES OF VIBRATION FOR THE DIOXIDES OF ZIRCONIUM, TITANIUM, SILICON AND BORON

The vibrational spectra of the dioxides of zirconium, titanium, silicon, and boron are briefly discussed and the force constants for these molecules are calculated on the basis of the group-theoretical method. The computed numerical values of mean-square amplitude quantities, generalized mean-square amplitude quantities, and mean amplitudes of vibration for molecules of these oxides at 0 and 298 deg K are reported.
