General formulas are presented for the multiple commutator involving a function of an operator A in terms of (multiple) commutators involving A by using {open_quotes}operator ordering indices.{close_quotes} It is pointed out that this analysis essentially reproduces the quantum analysis, proposed by Suzuki very recently, in a more transparent way. Extension to the case of several operators is also made in an elegant form. {copyright} {ital 1997 American Institute of Physics.}
