DESIGN DATA STUDY FOR COATED COLUMBIUM ALLOYS. Bimonthly Report No. 4, June 21, 1962 through August 21, 1962

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4634888
The screening tests of 7 protective coatings applied on D-14 alloy and of Pfaudler, TRW, and Vought coatings on FS-85 alloy were completed and reviewed. The Pfaudler and THW coatings were selected for an extensive design data study of coated FS-85 alloy. Test speciNonemens for the design data study were prepared from 30 Nonemil FS-85 alloy sheet and are being coated by Pfaudler and TRW. Tensile tests were conducted on uncoated FS-85 alloy at temperature intervals from room temperature to 2600 deg F, establishing base-line properties for evaluation of the coatingbase metal systems.
