STUDIES ON THE COLORATION OF LiF CRYSTALS

Journal Article · · Physica Status Solidi (East Germany) Divided into Phys. Status Solidi A and Phys. Status Solidi B
LiF crystals grown by two different methods (Bridgman/ high vacuum and Kyropoulos/air) are colored by x-ray, deuteron, proton, and electron irradiation. The dependence of coloration spectra upon both the growth technique and the type of radiation used for coloring the crystals, was found to be negligible. Additive and electrolytic coloration experiments did not yield any selective absorption in the investigated range farn 200 to 3000 nm. (auth)
