NEUTRON TRANSFER IN THE N$sup 14$(N$sup 14$,N$sup 13$)N$sup 15$ REACTION

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4632934
The N/sup 14/(Ni/sup 4/,N/sup 13/)N/sup 15/ reaction was studied at a low (12Mev) bombarding energy to exclude nuclear absorption. The N/sup 13/ nuclei ranges were consistent with transfer of the neutron to the N/sup 15/ ground state. Also, the experimental differential cross section was described quite well by a simple theory (Greiders'), in distinct contrast to results previously obtained at higher energies. (D.C.W.)
