The relative intensities of the KLL-Auger transitions of Fe (Z = 26) and V (Z = 23) were measured with an iron free, double focusing BETA spectrometer. The results obtained were in good agreement with those measured by Sokolowski and Nordling for Z = 29 and Z = 32. This confirms the discrepancies between the nonrelativistically calculated intensities and the experimental values in the region of lower Z. A summary is given about all known measurements of the KLL- Auger intensities. Also the KLL: KLX-ratio of Fe was measured to be 1.0 (0.19 plus or minus 0.01). The energy of the 14.4-kev gamma transition of Fe/sup 57/ was evaluatend to be (14389 plus or minus 6) ev.
