Low-temperature anisotropic normal-state resistivity is measured in La{sub 2{minus}x}Sr{sub x}CuO{sub 4} single crystals by suppressing the superconductivity with a 61-T pulsed magnetic field. The logarithmic temperature dependence of both {rho}{sub ab} and {rho}{sub c} is observed in a much cleaner x=0.08 samples as well as in samples with x=0.15 which is near optimum doping, but slightly underdoped. This extension of the original observation suggests that the unusual insulating behavior is a generic property of the low-temperature normal-state of underdoped La{sub 2-x}Sr{sub x}CuO{sub 4} once superconductivity is suppressed.
