With competition looming ever larger on the homefront, American utilities should take a closer look at investment opportunities overseas. India, for example, offers investment opportunities in electric and gas infrastructure construction, renovation, modernization, and acquisition of refinery facilities, electric power generation units, transmission and distribution systems, renewable energy facilities, pipeline systems, oil and gas development and production facilities, steel manufacturing mills, and environmental cleanup operations.
