Flavor-changing {ital Z} decay in the one generation technicolor models
- CCAST (World Laboratory), P.O. Box 8730, Beijing 100080 (China)
The flavor-changing decay {ital Z}{r_arrow}{ital b{bar s}}({ital {bar b}s}) induced through pseudo Goldstone bosons (PGB`s) is calculated in two kinds of one generation technicolor models (OGTM`s). (a) For model I, we find that an interesting branching ratio {ital B}({ital Z}{r_arrow}{ital b{bar s}}+{ital {bar b}s}){similar_to}10{sup {minus}6} can be obtained for particular choices of the parameters; such a magnitude of the order of the branching ratio is at the border of being detectable. (b) For model II, the PGB contributions can strongly enhance the branching ratio {ital B}({ital Z}{r_arrow}{ital b{bar s}}+{ital {bar b}s}). With the current experimental limit on the branching ratios of rare {ital Z} decay, the model-dependent bounds on the mass of the color octet pseudo Goldstone bosons can be derived. As will be seen, the decay {ital Z}{r_arrow}{ital b{bar s}}({ital {bar b}s}) may provide a unique window to study the TC theory.
