Structure and electronic state of PdCl{sub 2}-CuCl{sub 2} catalysts supported on activated carbon
- Osaka Univ. (Japan)
The molecular and electronic structure of PdCl{sub 2}-CuCl{sub 2} catalysts supported on activated carbon were probed by XAFS. The authors propose that Pd metal particles are responsible for CO oxidation activity at >400 K and that activity above 570 K is due to the Cu{sup +} chloride species. 34 refs., 9 figs., 1 tab.
