Gamma rays from thermal neutron capture in $sup 128$Te

Thermal neutron capture gamma rays from /sup 128/Te were measured by means of a 43 cm/sup 3/ Ge(Li) detector and a NaI(Tl) scintillator. A great number of gamma rays were identified belonging to the energy levels in /sup 129/I populated in the beta decay of /sup 129/Te from /sup 128/Te (n, gamma ) reaction. The detailed decay scheme of /sup 129/I was constructed. Possible transitions between levels of /sup 129/I were given and discussed. (auth)
