OSTI ID:4428772
A method is described for the fabrication of high-strength beryllia-- alumina alloys comprising the steps of preparing a raw powder mix of beryllium oxide containing 5 to 20% aluminum oxide by weight, die- ram pressing in a partial vacuum at a temperature of about 1400 deg C under a pressure of about 4000 psi. A sintering aid mixture of alumina, magnesia, and silica is also disclosed. (Official Gazette)
