From 4th international seminar on heat and mass transfer in liquid metals; Trojir, Yugoslavia (6 Sep 1971). See CONFAn analytical, multiregional solution is presented of the problem of slug-flow heat transfer in an eccentric annulus with constant volume heat release in the internal rod and a thermally insulated outer tube surface obtained by using the point-matching technique in a modified bipolar coordinate system. Typical curves show the effect of eccentricity on the average Nusselt number for various radius ratios and thermal conductivity ratios, demonstrating the influence of additional, circumferential heat conduction in the walls.
