Distribution of Australia antigen and anti Australia antigen antibody in family donors by solid phase radioimmunoassay (in Japanese)

Journal Article · · Nippon Yuketsu Gakkai Zasshi, v. 19, no. 3, pp. 89-93
The distribution of Australia antigen (Au-ag) and the antibody towards the antigen (Au-ab) in family donors in Blood Transfusion Center, School of Medicine, Keio University, was studied by using solid-phase radioimmunoassay techniques. Au-ag was detected in 5.9% of the tested donors, and Au-ab was detected in 23%. No relatlonship among the value estimated of Au-ag, serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) and serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) in donors could be found. (auth)
