Backward scattering of $alpha$ particles on $sup 12$C and $sup 13$C (in Russian)

Angular distributions of alpha particles scattered from /sup 12/C and / sup 13/C nuclei are measured in the 110 deg -178 deg c.m. angular range at energies 18, 19, 22, 24, 25 and 26.6 MeV. A sharp decrease of the cross section at all the energies is observed in scattering of the alpha particles on the / sup 12/C nucleus at angles close to 180 deg . The angular distributions for /sup 13/C in the 18-22-MeV energy range have a shape similar to the shape of the angular distributions for /sup 13/C. At 24 MeV the extrema are in opposite phases and at 25 MeV the backward scattering cross section for /sup 13/C decreases. The observed increase of the backward scattering cross section is explained due to the contribution from a heavy-particle stripping and from decay of intermediate alpha -cluster states given to the elastic part of the exchange interaction.
