Decay of /sup 111m/Cd

Journal Article · · Radiochem. Radioanal. Lett., v. 15, no. 3, pp. 187-191
OSTI ID:4414545

The decay of /sup 111m/Cd was reinvestigated by using a Ge(Li) spectrometer. Gamma rays of (150.6 plus or minus 0.2) and 245.8 plus or minus 0.2) keV were observed to decay with a 49 min half-life and, hence, are assigned to /sup 111m/Cd. The relative intensities of these gamma rays were determined as (32.2 plus or minus 1.5) and 1OO, respectively. By using these relative intensities and the reported value of the total internal conversion coefficient of the 245.8-keV transition, the total internal conversion coefficient of the 150.6-keV transition was determined to be 2.36 plus or minus 0.16.
