Magnetic sheath adjacent to absorbing surfaces

The steady flow of a collisionless plasma about a solid body with characteristic length L in the presence of a magnetic field is considered. The case when lambda /sub D/ << lambda /sub M/ << L, where lambda /sub D/ and lambda /sub M/ are the Debye length and magnetic Debye length, respectively, is considered. The existence and structure of a magnetic sheath near the solid surface are studied. (MOW)
