Since the end of 1969 the variation with time of the isotopic activity ratios of /sup 103/Ru to /sup 106/Ru and /sup 141/Ce to /sup 144/Ce was examined in rainwater. In the period from November 1971 to August 1972 three main peaks of the two isotopic activity ratios appeared resulting from the twelfth (November 18, 1971), the thirteenth (January 7, 1972), and the fourteenth (March 18, 1972) Chinese nuclear explosions. The method of calculation, which was given by Telegadas and Murayama for estimating the contribution of the /sup 90/Sr produced in a new explosion to the total deposition of /sup 90/Sr from the observed isotopic activity ratio of /sup 89/Sr to /sup 90/Sr , was applied to estimate the cortributions of the /sup 106/Ru and /sup 144/Ce produced in a new explosion to the total depositions of these nuclides.
