Comparative study of photographic, thermoluminescent, and radiophotoluminescent dosimeters (in Portuguese)

Thesis/Dissertation ·
OSTI ID:4411536
Comparison was made between the responses of three differert dosimetric systems, namely, pholographic, thermoluminescent (TL), and radiophotoluminescent (RPL). The comparison was divided in two part. The first was carried out in known radiation conditions (exposure, normal incidence, energy) and under controlled enviromnent (~27 deg C temperature, ~70% relative humidity). Under these conditions, the response as a function of exposure and energy, the relation of the linearity io the energy, the lowest detectible exposure, and the reproducibility, were studied. The response against exposure at 37 KeV and at 1 MeV was found to be linear in the region of interest to routine personnel dosimetry for all dosimeters except for the films. (INIS)
