The radio-wave field of the Crab Nebula is approximately elliptical. It is within the optically visible limits and practically coincides with them. The intensity drops sharply at the limits except in the eastern pant at 3.5-cm wavelength, which is outside the optically visible limits. Because of the low intensity, observations at other wavelengths are difficult. The center of gravity of individual scans lies on an S-shaped curve. Isophote data plots for 1.28-cm and 3.5-mm waves are shown. (TTT)
